CCM's admissions process begins on August 1 for entrance in the following year's fall semester. Applicants are encouraged to submit their pre-screening materials by November 1, but all application materials and pre-screening submissions must be received by December 1 (admissions application) and December 3 (pre-screening).
Applications completed later than the dates above, unless specified otherwise, will not receive admission or scholarship consideration. UC Common Applications, and the accompanying required materials, must be received by December 1 for merit-based scholarship consideration.
First-year applicants must first complete the UC Common Application with a non-refundable $50 application fee. Please only select the major(s) you intend to submit pre-screening materials for and make sure to only select each major one time. Applicants can list up to two majors but are only required to list one. After you submit your application for admission, you need to submit pre-screening materials on CCM's Get Acceptd website. Upon submission of your Common Application you will be provided with your UC application reference number. The assigned number must be used to create an account to upload pre-screening materials to Acceptd. A fee of $95 will be charged for each pre-screening you submit. If you wish to be considered for admission for more than one major (i.e. Musical Theatre and Acting), you must submit the required pre-screen and pay the fee for both programs. You will only be considered for admission to the program(s) you submit pre-screening materials for. Applicants receiving a fee waiver on their Common Application also qualify for a pre-screening fee waiver. Please contact ccmadmissions@uc.edu if you believe you qualify for a pre-screening fee waiver.
Transfer Application right arrow down arrowTransfer applicants (those who have attended a college or university after graduating from high school) must apply online using the Transfer Application. A non-refundable fee of $50 will be collected at the end of the application. After you submit your application for admission, you need to submit pre-screening materials on CCM's Get Acceptd website. Upon submission of your transfer application you will be provided with your UC application reference number. Applicants receiving a fee waiver on their transfer application also qualify for a pre-screening fee waiver. Please contact ccmadmissions@uc.edu if you believe you qualify for a pre-screening fee waiver. CCM accepts transfer applications for fall enrollment only. The deadline to apply is December 1.
Request an official transcript from each institution attended. Transfer applicants must send all official college transcripts. If you have earned fewer than 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours, you must also have your official high school transcript sent to UC. Transcripts must be sent directly the UC Admissions office (not CCM Admissions) either via secure electronic delivery or by mail to:
Office of Admissions
University of Cincinnati
PO Box 210091
Cincinnati, Ohio 45221-0091
Official test scores sent directly from ACT or SAT testing services are optional. UC will not accept ACT or SAT scores on the high school transcript. The school codes for UC are: ACT: 3340; SAT: 1833.
Letter(s) of Recommendation right arrow down arrowRefer to the pre-screening requirements for each individual degree program. All content must be uploaded to CCM's Get Acceptd website.
Audition/Interview right arrow down arrowWhile pre-screen submission is required for all applicants, not all applicants will be invited to audition or interview. In some cases, applicants will receive a final admission decision based solely off the pre-screen submission. In other cases, faculty will request an additional audition or interview.
You will be notified via email after faculty have reviewed your pre-screen submission regarding the status of your application and if you will need to participate in an audition or interview. Review the audition/interview requirements for your desired program.
